"That is understood, yet her unexpected visit could have just as well resulted in a much similar fate." She slide from the chair with a snakelike fluidity, and kneeled in front of him. His chin appeared in her hand, gently forced to meet her gaze. "Cal," She paused, shaking her head. "I know you're doing your best, but Rose is right. The wolf won’t receive the same mercy as given today if she returns.”

He met her gaze reluctantly and nodded. He watched as she looked into his eyes and he waited for the expected blow to come since she was holding his face still. She NEVER did that unless pain was to follow.

Briar dropped her eyes to the ground, not wanting to do the expected. Her hand drew back from his face, curling up into a tight fist. She hesitated to her sister's words, her nails digging even deeper into her flesh before falling defeated back into her lap. She could feel the anger still smoldering deep within her, but was too overpowered by reason to strike. She forced it back into a deeper recess of her mind and body, to be bottled up for its release later on. This conversation was by far more important than her needs, and could wait until they were finished here.

He watched Briar's hand as Rose talked sense. He nodded to her. He just didn't want to let them down or get them in trouble. "Okay. Briar, if you wreck the house in anyway, it's coming out of you're pocket to fix it. Go hunt or tear up the trees or something." he said, watching her control her anger enough to not hit him. He kept his guard up anyways because she could just strike when he least expected it.

Briar rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, awhile creeping back to lean against her original chair. "Your house is safe, don't change the subject." She snapped coldly. Her jaw tensed visibily as she sank to the floor, hiding the glare behind closed eyes. She would be fine for now, but anything added to it and promises couldn't be made.
(There you go Cal, piss her off and you'll get what you're looking for.)

"I wasn't changing the subject. It was a serious relevant point. And I'm not kidding." he said, eying Briar's form and watching her muscle spasms. He watched, his guard up and ready for the blow or blows as the case may become.
(Is she pissed off enough yet? I'm trying my best here. It was the original plan. She was supposed to hit him for HER coming into the lands anyways. Now you get to hit me more than once.

She was tempted to hit her head against a brick wall. "Stop it, both of you. Dont you see any fight can and most likely will tear this family apart," she hissed at both of them, a glare set in her eyes, "Can't you see what that...that pup is doing to us, she wants to split us up. Dont let her win." She looked at both Cal and Briar, panting from her rage before standing and turning on her heels, ready to walk out.

"Sorry Rose. I know she likes me and that she is all alone but I'm not gonna let that get in the way of the family. I'll be more careful, I promise" he told her, his gaze serious and bold.
(Briar can still haul off and hit him though. He's waiting on it.)

Briar could feel his eyes on her and was annoyed by it. That and his worthless warnings. She turned her face away from his, becoming hidden beneath a dense golden drape of hair. He seemed set on ridding of her anger, most of which wasn't even directed towards him. Nevertheless, Rose was right, as she usually was; violence wasn't key. She stood, ignoring the both of them as she made her way to the back exit, muttering something sarcastically along the lines of going off to tear up some trees.
