Briar leaned against the thick, wooden door she had just more or less slammed. Her head tilted back into the supporting surface, producing a light thudding sound. Perhaps she had over-reacted. She glanced through the curtain next to her and out the window, Caliban's form appearing clearly. She sighed again, this time with regret, as she collapsed into a nearby chair. She knew she had been harsh with Melody, but it had been in protection to her family. She had done what she knew and thought to be right. Hopefully, Cal would understand. For now, she would leave him to his own concerns as he would to her, until they were prepared to talk about them face to face.

Caliban slowly opened the door after he knocked. He knew he needed to talk to Briar now, alone, before Rose came in to yell at them both. He sighed before he looked up at her, admiring her beauty as he had done the first time they had met. Her features complimented each other well. He sat down opposite her.

Briar froze having heard the door creak open, any physical motions from her ceasing to exist. Only her eyes followed him, their color still darkened with the hint of anger. The rest of her motionless face had become submitted into a blankness, giving nothing else away for him to possibly work from. Yes, she was already making this hard, but her stubborness wouldn't allow it any other way.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know that she was gonna do that.or anything. I was just trying to protect us. She was in the middle of town and talking about it and then some punk went by and she growled and showed dog teeth. What was I supposed to do? Wait until the towns people came with pitchforks and torches? I'm sorry Briar. I'm doing the best I can." he said, not meeting her eyes until the end. He looked into her blue ones with his own amethyst ones, pleading for her to see his position. He didn't want to lie to her or Rose and he didn't want to do anything that would hurt them. He just wanted to do the right thing. He didn't care if she accepted it or not. He had said what he needed to say. He waited for her to start shouting at him or even started to hit him.
OOC-she can hit him if she wants!!!! You know, since she's mad and all.

She had followed him without a sound. She leant against the door frame, listening to why he hadnt attacked Melody. She was sure that if the wolf had stayed any longer Briar would have attacked and she would have as well. She sighed as she returned her attention back to the 2.

He looked up at Rose, waiting to get blasted from either one of them any minute. He put his eyes to the floor. A dark, hunter green that was flush and soft. He silently waited for all hell to break lose.

She sighed again as she pushed off from the doorframe and walked towards Cal, dropping the keys in his lap. "All fixed," she said before returning to the doorframe.

Briar released an exasperated breath. "It would have been easier if you had just left her alone to her own stupidity, yes." Her voice still holding unto its deathly calmness. Her expression had softened as she had listened to his explanation slash apology, showing even more in her now saddened midnight blue eyes. Her composure was melting away bit by bit, revealing the flood of emotions running through her.

"I know that, but I don't want innocent blood spilled in our lands and then other tribes to come. Thanks for fixing my jeep Rose." he said, eyes never leaving the carpet.

"We had the right to attack her," Rosalie hissed, "next time i see her on our lands, i will not hesitant to attack."
